Garland ISD is the 3rd largest school district in Texas and can proudly boast of many high quality recognized schools, with strong academic and sports programs. GISD operates the new Garland Special Events Center only one mile away that provides support for largeer conventions and high school graduation programs. A new hotel is planned next door to it.
Elementary students can easily walk to the Luke and Betty Abbett school on Muirfield Rd. GISD offers choice of school options to allow families to choose the school for their children, and manages the transportation to distant schools by offering bus service and by staggering the school start times for elementary, middle and high schools

Richland Collegiate High School is a charter school operated by Richland College of the DCCCD for grades 11 and 12. RCHS provides a rigorous education plan in which graduates complete both their High School Diploma and receive an Associates of Arts or Associates of Science degrees in two years with publicly paid tuition. RCHS course work is transferrable to state universities.

Richland College of the Dallas County Community College District is building a satellite campus nearby near downtown Garland and the main campus is only 9 miles away. Richland offers very affordable tuition for core classes that are transferrable to all public higher education Colleges and Universities in Texas.
The University of Texas at Dallas is 7 miles away in Richardson.
